The Spanish goalkeeper remains a free agent following his departure from Old Trafford at the end of the 2022/23 season. Several clubs approached him in the last two transfer windows including Saudi Pro League teams but De Gea refused to accept those proposals.

Now Estadio Deportivo reports that the ex-Red Devils star could finally return to football next season as La Liga side Real Betis are reportedly interested in signing him on a free transfer. With 41-year-old Chilean custodian Claudio Bravo set to leave the club, sporting director Manu Fajardo has identified the Spain international as a possible replacement.
