Nathan Shelley can’t help himself: Ted Lasso ‘wonderkid’ teases fans amid season four rumours – with throwback post delivering another hint at AFC Richmond return

A loyal legion of AFC Richmond followers have been clinging to the dream of Jason Sudeikis bringing the award-winning show back since an epic adventure for the American coach in English football was brought to a close in May 2023.

Speculation regarding a return to the small screen for Lasso and Co. has been raging for several weeks. Warner Bros executives have been delivering “exciting” updates, with there suggestions that pre-production could begin in early 2025.

Mohammed has never shied away from the fact that he would love to reprise his role as Nate – the kit man-turned-coach that took in two spells alongside Lasso at Nelson Road Stadium. He was responsible for leaking on social media that Shelley had returned to AFC Richmond before season three was completed.

Mohammed continues to have fun with his followers on X, with a throwback post to his Lasso spoiler including a new “this aged well” comment in a nod to his previous promise not to inadvertently deliver any more leaks.

Excited fans consider that to be a hint towards season four being in the pipeline, with official confirmation seemingly not far off as various members of the cast and crew ready themselves for another chapter to be written in the Ted Lasso story.
