    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Chucky, who is currently taking in a second spell at Dutch giants PSV, told ESPN Netherlands when asked if he would favour a switch to MLS or a return to his roots: “Well, I'd like to go to Liga MX. Pachuca gave me many things, it gave me the opportunity to be in the first division. If I return to Mexico, I think the first option would be Pachuca.”

  • WHAT LOZANO SAID

Lozano is not expecting to tread that path any time soon, though, with the 28-year-old forward adding on his desire to remain outside of Mexico for now: “Honestly, I hope to be here in Europe for a long time. That's my idea, that's my plan, but well, later in the future we'll see what can be done. I would really like to be here for a long time, truthfully, I really like the city [of Eindhoven], I really like the people, the people at the club treat me very well.”

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHUCKY?

Chucky signed a five-year contract when returning to PSV last summer and helped them to Eredivisie title glory this season – alongside USMNT stars Malik Tillman, Sergino Dest and Ricardo Pepi. He only recorded six goals and three assists in the 2023-24 campaign, but boasts the creative qualities that suggest he is far from being a spent force in European football.
