Under their new management, Lyon are looking to void several of former investor John Textor’s pre-agreed deals, including Turner’s move from Forest. According to L’Equipe, Lyon have hired lawyers to terminate the €8 million (£7m/$9m) deal in order to comply with financial regulations set by the French football watchdog the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG). Lyon argue that the Turner deal would go against their plans for smart, low-cost investment in players.
