  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Rashford has been embroiled in controversy this week after being pictured entering a nightclub in Belfast, just 24 hours before he seemingly missed training due to being "ill". United have since published a statement claiming the England international has taken responsibility for his actions, but new allegations by a local waitress published in The Sun claim that the forward "was on a mission to get drunk", sunk multiple shots of tequila, and collapsed into bed, while fully clothed, around 3am.

    WHAT THE ALLEGATIONS ARE

Waitress Sarah Adair claimed she had to put Rashford to bed, and said: “I’m not surprised he missed training the next day given how late he got to bed and how much he’d had to drink.

"He must’ve known he wasn’t going to be in any fit state to play football."

She added: “They (Rashford and his entourage) were still drinking tequila and passing around a bottle of Patron and he also ordered a round of limoncello. He was clearly on a mission to get drunk.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rashford has returned to training and is available for selection for United's game against Wolves on Thursday. It remains to be seen if Ten Hag will select him, however, having previously managed with an iron fist approach.

He has struggled for form this season and will hope to put this faux pas behind him. He has scored four goals and provided three assists in the Premier League in 2023/24.
