Man Utd set their sights on Thomas Tuchel! Ex-Chelsea & Bayern Munich boss 'lined up' as Erik ten Hag's replacement ahead of crunch talks

Questions continue to be asked of Ten Hag’s ongoing presence at Old Trafford following a hugely disappointing start to the 2024-25 campaign. After seven games, the Red Devils have just eight points to their name and sit 14th in the table - their worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United officials will hold a meeting in London on Thursday. Ten Hag’s future will be up for discussion there, along with potential replacements. It is claimed that former Chelsea boss Tuchel continues to register on their radar.

Tuchel, who led Chelsea to Champions League glory during his time at Stamford Bridge, would be immediately available after severing ties with German giants Bayern Munich at the end of last season. He has previously held talks with United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Tuchel is reportedly open to the idea of inheriting the reins in Manchester. United do, however, have other candidates on their list of potential successors to Ten Hag. He is not ready to walk away either, with the Dutchman saying his position has not changed after overseeing a 0-0 draw away at Aston Villa.
