Luis Diaz is Barcelona bound! Liverpool star ready to snub new contract and huge Saudi Arabia offer to join Lamine Yamal, Raphinha & Co

The Liverpool winger has his mind set on a move to Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, and has agreed terms with the Spanish champions for a move to the Catalan side. The clubs are yet to come to an agreement, however.

One of the priorities for sporting director Deco and Hansi Flick this summer will be reinforcing the left side of the attack. Names such as Nico Williams and Marcus Rashford have been mentioned, but Diaz has emerged as the club's top priority. With Liverpool having to make an outlay of more than €130 million (£110m/$148m) for Florian Wirtz, they hope that the €85m (£72m/$97m) price tag on Diaz will compensate in part for the German's transfer. While the Reds have tried to initiate renewal talks with the players’ entourage, the Colombian has blocked any approach from the club as well as the lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia.

Since moving to Anfield from Porto in January 2022, has won the Premier League, FA Cup and two Carabao Cups, scoring 41 goals in 148 games along the way.

With no Club World Cup duties, Barcelona will look to build on their 2024-25 season when they narrowly missed out on a treble following their Champions League elimination at the hands of finalists Inter. Meanwhile, Diaz awaits his fate in the hope Liverpool and Barcelona find an agreement this summer.
