'I've had better looks!' - Lotte Wubben-Moy's verdict on head injury suffered during Arsenal's WSL win over Everton as Lionesses star celebrates with sidelined team-mate Leah Williamson at full time

On a day when USWNT star Emily Fox made her Women's Super League debut for Jonas Eidevall's side, the Gunners held strong to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Caitlin Foord and Beth Mead. Wubben-Moy performed well, though had her afternoon marred by a head-to-head collision that left her requiring bandages to the forehead. However, she eased concerns by joking on Instagram: "I've had better looks". In the photo, she posed in celebration with injured Arsenal teammate Leah Williamson.

The win means that Eidevall's side sit level on points with league leaders Chelsea, though they still occupy the second position due to Emma Hayes' side's superior goal difference. The Blues still have a game in hand over the Gunners and face Manchester United in a crunch clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Speaking after the game, Eidevall praised his side's display: "I'm really happy with the first 70 minutes of the game. I think we moved the ball very well. I think we played past their pressure in a really good way a couple of times. We pressed good, we pressed in a collective way."

"I think the only thing that I'm not happy with in the first 70 minutes is that we only scored two goals and that we managed to concede a goal on basically only one chance that they had in the game. So we should have a bigger margin going into there. Then I think if we had conceded a goal in the end, I think we would have been really disappointed with the way that we played the last 15 minutes. And I know it was disrupted a little bit with players being out having treatment and so on."

Wubben-Moy may be rested when Eidevall's side take on Reading in the Conti Cup on Wednesday, January 24. The Gunners are the holders of the competition, having beaten Chelsea in the final last season at Selhurst Park.
