THE BIGGER PICTURE
Klopp had identified Beraldo as a prospect for the future and wanted to escalate the pursuit after Joel Matip got sidelined due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Apart from the Reds, several European outfits were interested in Beraldo including Wolves, Zenit and Bayern Munich.
Beraldo will be set for a PSG medical in the next few days after the two teams have signed the official documents. Meanwhile, Liverpool now must set their sights elsewhere to reinforce their defence after missing out on the Brazilian starlet.
