That would be enough to deliver automatic promotion if Wrexham can maintain, or improve on their current standing, but Steve Parkin is reluctant to read too much into things at this stage. Parkinson’s right-hand man has said: “The key thing is just to keep in touch with everybody who is up there and make sure that you are not too far adrift at any stage of the season. It is nice to be right up there but it is just one game at a time. I know it is an old cliche but it has got to be that way.
