WHAT HAPPENED?
Bright made her first appearance in five months on Saturday after coming on as a substitute against Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Women's Champions League. The Lionesses star is back to fitness after a knee injury but could not help the Blues progress to the final. Emma Hayes's side held a 1-0 lead from the first leg but lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to crash out of the competition.
Bright wrote on Instagram: "It hurts too much to reflect right now but I do want to say thank you to all of our amazing fans for giving us a record crowd you were incredible bittersweet feeling but extremely happy to finally be back on the pitch fighting with my team…See you Wednesday blues."
