Leroy Sane reveals how Harry Kane is feeling ahead of Bayern's Champions League quarter-final tie with Arsenal

The former Tottenham star comes up against his old rivals on Tuesday for the first time since he left the English capital to join Bayern last summer. The two teams face off in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie and Sane says his co-star is fired up for the match.

Kane has scored a whopping 38 goals in 37 matches in all competitions for the Bavarian side, including 10 goals in his last eight. However, Bayern have not been able to fully capitalise on the 30-year-old's awesome form, having lost to Borussia Dortmund and Heidenheim in their last two games to fall 16 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, giving their rivals the chance to seal their first ever title this weekend.

Sane has backed the England international to keep up his scoring run on Tuesday, saying at a press conference: "I hope he continues his run against Arsenal. He always helps us, he scores lots of goals. It'll definitely be a special game for him. He's really looking forward to it. It's easy to play with him because he's a clever player. He knows how his teammates play and tries to use that and to help his teammates. We have a very good connection. He's a very good striker."

Kane has an excellent record against Arsenal, having netted 14 goals in 19 appearances against the Gunners. Mikel Arteta has told his team how to keep the forward silent for the headline clash, and Kane will hope to haunt his former foes once again.
