Paris FC chief Michael Denisot has firmly dismissed any speculation about a potential future transfer for Mbappe, quashing rumours linking the French superstar to the Ligue 1 newcomers. WHAT MICHAEL DENISOT SAID

In an interview with L'Equipe, Denisot said: “The idea is not to bring Mbappe back to Paris. The idea is rather to build a team of players coming, as much as possible, from the Paris region."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Having started at Monaco, Mbappe has spent the majority of his career so far at PSG, where he spent seven seasons and became the club's all-time top scorer with 256 goals in 308 games. Last summer, he made a highly-anticipated move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, where he is just two goals away from breaking the record for most goals scored in a debut season for the club.
