FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon, and so are Bayern Munich, who view the Englishman as a top candidate to strengthen their wing this summer.

According to radio station RAC1, Gordon has caught the Catalans' attention this season with his performances, especially in the Champions League. 

Sporting director Deco is now prioritising a versatile winger this summer, someone capable of giving Raphinha a breather. Raphinha is currently the only top-tier option on the left for Hansi Flick, but two thigh injuries have limited him to just 31 appearances across all competitions this term.

    Newcastle could be forced to sell a top star this summer due to Financial Fair Play regulations, following the huge investments made in previous years. The club could likely secure the highest fee for Gordon, but there is also speculation about a swift departure for Nick Woltemade, who is no longer first choice under manager Eddie Howe. 

    Currently 13th in the Premier League, the Magpies will miss out on European qualification, a snub that will hit their coffers hard.
