    Sancho was in brilliant form as Dortmund won 1-0 at Signal Iduna Park in the first leg, thanks to Niclas Fullkrug's 35th minute goal. The Manchester United loanee turned in a supreme performance, and became the first Englishman to complete 11 or more take-ons in a single Champions League game, and the first to do so in a semi-final since Lionel Messi against Manchester United in 2008, who completed 16.

    In a dismal spell at United, in which he scored 12 goals, Sancho never managed to complete over seven take-ons in a single game in his 58 league appearances, but he did so against PSG within 30 minutes.
