'Link-up like no other' - Man Utd loanee Jadon Sancho sends emotional message to Borussia Dortmund co-star Marco Reus ahead of 'last dance' for club legend

Jadon Sancho has sent an emotional message to outgoing Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus as he prepares for his final game for the club.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Reus has announced that he is set to depart Dortmund this summer after 12 years, with reports suggesting that he has his heart set on a move to Major League Soccer. Sancho is also poised to leave Dortmund this summer, as he will head back to Manchester United upon the expiration of his loan spell, and the Englishman has sent a message to his team-mate on Instagram.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Sancho and Reus have played together 107 times in total - only goalkeeper Roman Burki has played with Sancho more often - and won the DFB-Pokal together in 2020-21. Reus also won the DFB-Pokal in 2016-17 but the pair could top that before the summer, with Dortmund poised to play Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Sancho posted on his Instagram stories a series of pictures of himself and Reus, writing: "The last dance, brother."
He followed that up with: "A link up like no other!"
And he concluded with: "Memories I'll cherish forever brother!"

Dortmund face Darmstadt in Reus' final Bundesliga game on Saturday. They then take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday, June 1.
