    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kane scored 14 goals in 19 appearances against the Gunners for Spurs and he has been challenged by Bayern sporting director Max Eberl to improve on that record this week. Although Bayern have disappointed recently, having crashed out of the Bundesliga title race and then losing 3-2 to Heidenheim at the weekend, Arteta admits they still pose a threat and highlighted Kane as a big danger.

  • WHAT ARTETA SAID

Asked how his team can contain the 30-year-old, Arteta told reporters: "It's not only him but the 10 other individuals they have. But when you look at [Kane's] numbers over the past 10 years they are unbelievable. He can score in many ways. We have to try and avoid him getting service."

Pressed on what makes Kane such a big threat, the Gunners boss added: "His consistency. When you look at this numbers over the past 10 years they are unbelievable. He can score in many different ways. He has got the service and the players around him as well to provide those opportunities as well. Here's what we have to try to avoid."

    WHAT NEXT FOR ARSENAL?

Arsenal head into the game against Bayern on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions, while a feeling of hopelessness is evident in Munich amid the team's disastrous results. However, they lost 5-1 in each of their last three clashes with the Bavarian giants and Arteta will hope to avoid a further upset this week.
