Has remained out of action since last month
Reported for England training on Tuesday
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Manchester United defender has been included in Gareth Southgate's 33-man preliminary England squad for the Euro 2024 despite not featuring for his club since April 27 due to a muscle injury. THE BIGGER PICTURE
Now the Daily Mail reports that, unlike his peers who have jetted off for holidays at the end of the season, Maguire decided to work on his fitness ahead of the European Championships next month. The 31-year-old reported for England's training on Tuesday, before many other players were scheduled to join the camp. The central defender is joined by clubmate Luke Shaw and Newcastle's Anthony Gordon, who are also recovering from injuries.

The Three Lions squad - except for Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo and four Man City players - will start training under Southgate's tutelage from May 29.
