The Lionesses star doubled her side's lead in the 71st minute, firing the ball into the top corner with a sensational strike from around 20 yards out. The 25-year-old now has three goals to her name in just four Bundesliga appearances in the current season.

Lee Schuller opened the scoring for the reigning German champions in the 26th minute before Stanway doubled their tally with the world-class strike. Pernille Harder and Jovana Damnjanovic then scored two more goals in quick succession to complete a rout for their club. Bayern are off to a fierce start in the new season having already scored 23 times in five matches across all competitions.

Alexander Straus' side will be back in action on Saturday as they take on FC Koln in the Bundesliga before facing Arsenal in the Women's Champions League on October 9.
