Frustrated USMNT star Christian Pulisic sends message to fans after AC Milan are held to draw by Atalanta

Christian Pulisic cut a frustrated figure as AC Milan dropped points against Atalanta, with the USMNT star left to rue a missed chance.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Rossoneri got off to a perfect start in their latest Serie A fixture, with Portuguese forward Rafael Leao breaking the deadlock in style with a sensational strike in the third minute. Milan were unable to build on that foundation, and were ultimately left cursing their luck.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Teun Koopmeiners restored parity from the penalty spot at San Siro three minutes before half-time, and there was to be no more scoring from there. Both sides had chances to take all three points, but were left to settle for one apiece.
WHAT PULISIC SAID
United States international Pulisic was unable to make a telling contribution in the final third, before being replaced with two minutes left on the clock, and posted on social media afterwards that is “wasn’t to be tonight” as Milan took a share of the spoils.

WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC & MILAN?
Milan remain third in the Serie A table on the back of stalemate on home soil, with arch-rivals Inter 13 points clear of Stefano Pioli’s side as they chase down another Scudetto. The Rossoneri will be back in action on Friday when taking in a trip to Lazio.
