The United States international opted to take on a new challenge in the summer transfer window. After four years at Chelsea that saw him become a Champions League winner but often struggle for a spark, Pulisic completed a €22 million (£19m/$23m) switch to San Siro.

Sacchi has told Gazzetta dello Sport: “The American adapted quickly to the new surroundings, he moves a lot and never gives points of reference since he starts from the right and comes inside, he is versatile since he can be deployed in all offensive zones and moreover in front of the goal he has calmness and a precise shot.”

All four of Pulisic’s goals for Milan have come in Serie A competition, along with one assist, and his efforts have helped the Rossoneri to reach the October international break perched at the summit of the Italian top-flight table.
