Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter has reportedly turned down the chance to help Jordan Henderson fix the alarming mess at Dutch giants Ajax.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Eredivisie outfit remain in the hunt for a new permanent boss after severing ties with Maurice Steijn in October 2023. John van't Schip has been at the helm on an interim basis since then, but has struggled to deliver a reversal in fortune.
According to Sky Sports, ex-Chelsea and Brighton boss Potter has been sounded out regarding a prominent coaching post in Amsterdam. Talks are said to have taken place, with Potter opting against returning to coaching at this stage following his sacking at Stamford Bridge in April 2023.

WHAT NEXT FOR POTTER?
The 48-year-old is said to still figure on Manchester United's radar, as they mull over what to do with Erik ten Hag. That means a rebuilding project could soon be taken on at Old Trafford, rather than inheriting one at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
