THE BIGGER PICTURE
Botafogo forward Igor Jesus sealed the victory for the Brasileiro club by scoring the only goal in the match. Textor later emphasised how important the game was for the club and how much it mattered to them in a format that gives them this opportunity.
In a post-match interview, Textor said: "PSG is the best team in the world. And they were probably the best team tonight. But we played with heart and maybe we wanted more tonight. It's a privilege for us to play against them in this format. To show that Brazilian teams can play football. We played like an English team today."
