However, British fans are being cautioned about the potency of German beer, as it tends to be stronger than what they're accustomed to back home. The UK Foreign Office has issued a warning advising fans to drink responsibly and be mindful of local laws, as excessive drinking could lead to being barred from entering the stadium.

  • WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

The Foreign Office in London put out a statement which read: "Beer can be stronger than in the UK, so drink responsibly, know your limits and respect local laws. You may not be let into the stadium if you drink too much."

They also put out a line advising fans to get tickets only from official websites: "Only buy match tickets from official providers. Tickets will be electronic and you will need your mobile phone to validate them at entry. Make sure your phone is charged and take into account roaming charges in Germany – check with your phone provider before you travel. Match tickets bought through unofficial means may not be valid. If you sell tickets through unofficial means, you could be prosecuted.”

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The average alcohol by volume (ABV) content of beers in Germany ranges from 4.7% to 5.4%, with some brews boasting even higher percentages, including up to 16% or more. In contrast, conventional beers and lagers sold in the UK typically have an ABV of 4.4%.

FOOTBALL VILLAGE TO RELAX FOR FANS

Each host city will feature a football village, providing fans with a vibrant atmosphere to enjoy before and during matches. However, restrictions on what fans can bring into these venues may vary between cities. As the tournament approaches, both British and German authorities are working to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all football enthusiasts participating in Euro 2024. The footballing spectacle will conclude with the title decider to be held in Berlin on July 15.
