‘Energy shifted’ – Kaitlin Olson reveals how husband Rob McElhenney changed after enjoying more ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary success alongside Ryan Reynolds

Alongside fellow co-owner Ryan Reynolds, McElhenney has overseen a meteoric rise to prominence for EFL outfit Wrexham. Back-to-back promotions have carried them into League One, with the ultimate goal being to one day reach the Premier League.

We spent 17 years not winning Emmys for Sunny saying it’s not a big deal and, yeah, the energy shifted. He’s like ‘it’s not a big deal’. I disagree, now I do think it’s a big deal and I have something to prove.”

Reynolds and McElhenney have confirmed that ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ will be back for a fourth season, as exploits in the third tier of English football are covered. There may be more famous faces to grace that show in episodes to come, with A-list guests still flocking to Red Dragons fixtures amid ongoing talk of further investment being sought from outside sources at some stage.
