  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The former Manchester United winger, who moved to Asia for the first time in his career in January, made his debut for his new club FC Seoul on Saturday in their K-League opener. He came on as a substitute in the 77th minute with the team trailing by a goal. Gwangju then added a second in added time as the Englishman suffered a defeat in his very first game in South Korea.

    The 31-year-old was welcomed with loud cheers by the fans present at the stadium as he came onto the field in place of Kim Gyeong-min. Before Saturday's clash, the former England international played in friendly matches for Seoul during pre-season and had even scored a goal in the 11-1 win over Japanese university side Kanoya.
