Darwin Nunez is heading to Al-Hilal! Saudi giants strike €53m agreement to sign Liverpool flop as Reds bankroll Alexander Isak pursuit
Darwin Nunez is set to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia after the club reached an agreement to sign the striker for €53 million (£46m/$62m) from Liverpool.
Nunez joined the Reds in a deal worth £57m ($76m) in 2022 and the club are poised to essentially get their money back. The former Benfica striker struggled immensely at Anfield, scoring just 40 goals in 143 games in all competitions. In the Premier League, he netted 25 goals in 95 games.
Liverpool play Crystal Palace in the Community Shield at Wembley this weekend. Nunez is likely to complete his move to the Saudi Pro League beforehand.
