Coleen Rooney is 'terrified' and 'putting on a brave face' as wife of ex-Man Utd star Wayne travels to start I’m A Celebrity stint

Coleen, who is married to Plymouth Argyle boss and ex-Manchester United player Wayne Rooney, was photographed at the airport on the way to the Australian jungle for the hit ITV show. Before she boarded her flight, body language expert Darren Stanton says the 38-year-old is "terrified" but is "throwing herself" into this new venture.

Stanton told Betfair Casino: “Coleen isn’t showing authentic smiles of joy, they’re slightly forced smiles to put on a brave face. I think she is genuinely excited, but she’s also terrified. When she puts her eyes up and raises her eyebrows, that. It’s a clear combination of emotions. She also seems quite fidgety, which shows apprehension of what she’s got herself into. It’s a huge moment for Coleen, so she’s understandably feeling the nerves, but is throwing herself into the new venture.”

While she is quite right to feel nervous ahead of this step into the unknown, reports suggest she will receive a whopping £1.5 million for the show - which may cushion the blow, somewhat. Incidentally, her rival Rebekah Vardy is said to be eagerly awaiting the moment when Coleen is put through a Bushtucker trial.

The latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will be broadcast on ITV on Sunday night. So Coleen won't have too long to wait to get stuck into the jungle - and the potential horrors it may bring.
