'Past his sell-by date' - Coleen Rooney makes brutal dig at husband Wayne as couple prepare to star in £10m Disney documentary

The 38-year-old has quipped that she is now more popular on school runs than former Manchester United legend Wayne, following her hugely successful appearance on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' last year.

She joked, via The Mirror: "Even on school runs, Wayne has past his sell-by-date so no one has got a clue (about him). But then all of a sudden we get kids going, 'Oh Coleen Rooney!'"

This comes at a time when Coleen has reportedly agreed a £10 million ($12.8m) deal for a behind-the-scenes TV series on life at home with the Rooneys. The show will follow her life with England icon Wayne and sons Kai, 15, Kit, 11, Klay, eight, and Cass, six. Reports suggest she is expected to earn around £5m ($6.5m) from it, with another £5m going to production company Lorton Entertainment.

While more information is likely to come out on this show, Wayne is looking to get back into management after being sacked by Championship strugglersPlymouth Argyle last December.
