THE BIGGER PICTURE
Palmer put in a stunning display against the Seagulls, which also saw him have one effort disallowed before the interval had been reached. The talented 22-year-old is maintaining the form that saw him register 25 goals for Chelsea last season.
DID YOU KNOW?
His historic Blues shirt has already attracted a bid of £16,000, with his employers at Stamford Bridge set to make a donation from all of the auctions that they are involved with to the Chelsea FC Foundation. Palmer is expected to bring in a sizeable sum.

WHAT NEXT?
Palmer could break another record in the process, with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo in his sights. The mark for most expensive shirt sold by MatchWornShirt stands at €43,000 (£36,000) – with a CR7 jersey from his second spell at Manchester United fetching that price. A flurry of late bids could see Palmer soar above that.
