Cole Palmer is unstoppable! Chelsea star reaches European peak after setting up Nicolas Jackson to score against Crystal Palace

Palmer made the move to Chelsea from Manchester City exactly one year ago for a reported fee of £42.5 million ($55.8m). Since then, despite Chelsea's struggles on the pitch, Palmer has shone for the Blues and has quickly become their best player.

The England international has had a top-notch start to the season under new manager Enzo Maresca and assisted Nicolas Jackson's opener for Chelsea against Crystal Palace. Per OptaJoe, the assist now means that Palmer has the most number of assists (15) in Europe's top five leagues since his Chelsea debut in September of 2023.

Palmer also brought up his 50th appearance for Chelsea after being given a start against Crystal Palace in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old has scored 26 goals and bagged 19 assists in his time with the Blues, and is becoming an ever-important player in the England national team.

The Chelsea star will now return to the Three Lions for the international break and will likely be a starter for interim boss Lee Carsley when England take on the Republic of Ireland and then Finland on September 7 and 10 respectively.
