    WHAT HAPPENED?

Just days before the start of the Apertura 2025 season, Club América have officially announced the signing of Isaías Violante from Toluca. The two clubs reached an agreement that gives América full ownership of the winger’s contract, with the transfer fee estimated to be around $4 million.

The 21-year-old from Veracruz was identified as a key target by head coach André Jardine, who saw him as the ideal player to compete with Brian Rodríguez for a spot on the left wing. Strengthening that position had been one of the club's top priorities during the current transfer window.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Violante has represented Mexico at various youth levels and was an important part of Toluca's first team over the past few seasons. He debuted in Liga MX in 2020 and has since become one of the most promising and consistent wingers in Mexican football. Though he primarily plays on the left, he's also comfortable operating on the right side. Last season, he helped Toluca win the league title and he has contributed seven goals and four assists in 64 appearances during his overall time with the senior squad.

Violante is expected to report to América’s training facilities immediately to undergo medical evaluations and begin working under Jardine ahead of the Apertura opener.

    DID YOU KNOW?

Dutch winger Javairô Dilrosun appears set to return to Club América after his loan stint with LAFC. The MLS side is reportedly not interested in exercising their purchase option following his performance at the Club World Cup. However, Dilrosun does not feature in Jardine’s plans for the upcoming season, and the club will be actively seeking an exit for him in the coming days.
