Christian Pulisic's next manager? AC Milan weighing up Roberto De Zerbi approach with Stefano Pioli set to depart this summer

After losing out on the Serie A title to arch-rivals Inter this season, AC Milan are all set to part ways with manager Stefano Pioli at the end of the current campaign. With the 58-year-old set to exit San Siro, the Rossonerri are now in search of a new head coach and have prepared a shortlist of five managers including the name of Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report further claimed that the Serie A giants are currently evaluating their financial condition to find out if they can pursue the move, considering the Seagulls' head coach has a release clause of €15m (€17m) in his existing contract that runs until June 2026.

The Italian side were earlier linked with a move for former Wolves, Real Madrid and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui but they later backed out after facing backlash from their fans.

Pioli's men will be next seen in action in the Serie A on Sunday as they are all set to face Genoa at home. They will aim to end the season on a high by winning their remaining league matches.
