Chelsea to rival Tottenham for Mohammed Kudus?! Blues not ruling out swoop for West Ham star despite agreeing deals to sign Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro after Spurs tabled £50m bid earlier this month

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will need to offload players before they can make a move for Kudus, who is available for sale this summer as West Ham are looking to fund their own buys in the transfer window. The 24-year-old Ghanaian has a £85 million ($116m) release clause in his existing deal for Premier League clubs but the Hammers are unlikely to demand the full figure at once as they are open to hearing more offers for the player.

GOAL reported earlier this month that Spurs had enquired about Kudus as they bid to reinforce a Europa League-winning squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next season. The North London side were willing to offer £50m for the player.

Other than the two London clubs, Kudus has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United and West Ham could expect a bidding war for their star player in the summer window.

Enzo Maresca's side will be back in action in the Club World Cup on Saturday as they take on Brazilian giants Palmeiras in a quarter-final fixture.
