'Never felt anything like it' - Bukayo Saka sends emotional message to Arsenal fans after being given hero's welcome on goal-scoring return from injury against Fulham

Saka endured a lengthy injury layoff after sustaining a hamstring issue against Crystal Palace on December 21. He has subsequently missed 12 league fixtures, of which Arsenal have won seven, drawn four and lost one. On Tuesday, though, he made his comeback off the bench, scoring in a 2-1 win over Fulham.

Now, the England winger has posted a touching message thanking Arsenal fans for their support after he was given an incredible reception when coming on as a substitute, and for their reaction to his excellent finish. Arsenal are now nine points behind leaders Liverpool, although the Reds have a game in hand.

Saka wrote on X: "I have to acknowledge and thank you all for the energy and love you showed me last night. I’ve never seen or felt anything like what I felt at the Emirates last night. I will never forget that. Truly Grateful! #Godschild."

Arsenal play Everton this weekend before a huge Champions League meeting with Real Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final.
