Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool set for transfer battle over 10-goal Premier League star

The Telegraph reports that the three Premier League giants are showing interest in Brighton forward Joao Pedro, who has 10 goals to his name this season, as they seek to sign a new number nine this summer.

The report adds that Arsenal and Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Brazil international, who joined Brighton from Watford for £30m in 2023. If he is sold this summer, the 23-year-old is likely to leave for a good deal more than that.

Former Fluminense star Pedro, whose contract runs until 2028 at the Amex, has scored 30 goals in 70 games for Brighton. He can also play as a number nine, a supporting striker, and on the wings, so will be viewed as a very versatile option.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool don't have long until they can make a bid for Pedro, with the summer transfer window starting next month. At this early stage, it remains to be seen where the Brazilian will end up.
