Per Bloomberg Business, Arsenal are exploring the prospect of expanding the capacity of the Emirates from just over 60,000 to 80,000. The move would make the Emirates the biggest stadium in the Premier League, and only behind Wembley in England.

Per the report, Arsenal are aiming to increase revenue streams, and keep up with their league rivals. Any discussions are just that at this stage, and no formal plans have yet been drawn up by the club.

The Emirates was completed in 2006 but has not received any expansion since its official opening. However, other clubs have built new stadiums - namely north London rivals Tottenham - while Liverpool are planning to expand Anfield.
