    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Aguero has been reunited with Balotelli during a Watch Along stream that saw City claim another Premier League title in 2024, with the record books being rewritten by Pep Guardiola’s side during an era of domestic dominance.

  • WHAT AGUERO SAID

During that broadcast, mercurial Italian frontman Balotelli told his former team-mate when discussing Argentine football: “I prefer Boca to River. My dream is to play in La Bombonera.” Aguero immediately got on the phone to Boca supremo Riquelme, saying in a voice note: “Hello, Romi. Well, I'm watching City vs West Ham with Mario Balotelli and I’m here to tell you that his dream is to play for Boca. So now the ball is in your court. In June he is a free agent.”
