How to watch today's Scotland vs Belarus World Cup qualification game: Live stream, TV channel, and start time

Potentially just one victory away from sealing their ticket to the US, Scotland can edge even closer to a place at World Cup 2026 with a win over Belarus on Sunday night.

Fresh off a dramatic comeback victory against Greece earlier in the week, Steve Clarke's side sits level on points with Group C leaders Denmark and remains right in the hunt for automatic qualification. Under Clarke's guidance, the Scots have rediscovered their steel and swagger, looking well-drilled and full of belief.

Hampden Park has turned into a fortress again; four straight competitive wins there without conceding tells its own story. The perfect blend of seasoned campaigners like Andy Robertson and Scott McTominay with bright young sparks such as Lewis Ferguson and Billy Gilmour has given the Tartan Army a side they can truly rally behind.

With confidence coursing through the squad, Scotland will be fancied to boss proceedings against a Belarus outfit that has struggled for consistency. A fast, front-foot start could be key to prising open a defence that has been leaky all campaign. Expect the Scots to take the initiative and press high as they chase another crucial three points on home soil.

At the other end of the spectrum, Belarus are propping up the group and battling through a miserable run of form. Winless so far in qualifying, they've been undone far too easily at the back and offered little cutting edge going forward. Their best hope in Glasgow will likely be to sit deep, soak up pressure, and try to frustrate the hosts — though maintaining that discipline against Scotland's pace and width for a full 90 minutes looks a tall order.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch, including TV channel, streaming details and more.

Scotland team news

Clarke has some reshuffling to do. Thursday's heroes Lewis Ferguson and Ryan Christie are both suspended, while Aaron Hickey limped off with a knee problem. Anthony Ralston is set to deputize at right-back, with Max Johnston already called up as cover. In midfield, Billy Gilmour is the obvious candidate to step in and pull the strings.

Between the sticks, Angus Gunn remains the undisputed No. 1 despite not yet featuring for his new club, Nottingham Forest. His recent heroics, clean sheets against Denmark and Belarus, plus a vital late stop against Greece, have cemented his place.

Up front, Lyndon Dykes has made a habit of changing games off the bench, with three of his ten international goals coming as a substitute. Clarke may well keep him in that role, with Che Adams, who netted in the reverse fixture, set to lead the line again.

Belarus team news

As for Belarus, expect sweeping changes after their humbling against Denmark, where they shipped six goals and 24 shots. Manager Carlos Alos is tipped to tighten things up with a five-man backline.

Max Ebong should anchor the midfield, while teenage striker Trofim Melnichenko, on Porto’s books, is likely to be given another opportunity to spearhead the attack.
