The NBA is back on NBC for the first time in 24 years, bringing fans over 100 thrilling matchups featuring the league's top stars, intense playoff rematches, and some of basketball's most storied rivalries. Every week, viewers can tune in to NBC's Coast 2 Coast Tuesday, and starting after the NFL season wraps up, Sunday Night Basketball.

Starting October 28, Coast 2 Coast Tuesday will bring fans double the action with an 8 pm ET game airing across NBC stations in the Eastern and Central time zones, and another at 8 pm PT for the Pacific and Mountain time zones. Both games will be available live nationwide on NBC.

Then, once Sunday Night Football concludes and the NFL playoffs wind down, Sunday Night Basketball will take center stage beginning February 1, 2026, airing across NBC's network.

Fans can enjoy all these games on NBC, accessible via traditional broadcast as well as through streaming platforms like Peacock and Fubo, making it easier than ever to catch the action live.

NBA on NBC 2025-26 Schedule

One week after the NBA season tips off, NBC is set to bring fans Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays, launching October 28 with back-to-back showdowns that promise to light up prime time. Each Tuesday night will open with a 30-minute studio show, the perfect appetizer before the main course of high-octane hoops action.

And just when basketball lovers think they've had their fill, NBC will raise the stakes again with Sunday Night Basketball, tipping off February 1, 2026. Much like its NFL counterpart, the network aims to make Sunday nights the home of must-watch matchups and superstar moments.

The new Sunday showcase will slot in right after NBC's NFL coverage, giving fans a seamless transition from gridiron drama to basketball brilliance. There will be a brief pause in the schedule, though — Feb. 8 belongs to Super Bowl LX, followed by a global sports takeover with the NBA All-Star Game and the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics the next weekend.

Once the dust settles, the NBA action roars back on February 22, with an enticing slate of matchups that could easily define the playoff race.

How to Watch NBC Online Without Cable

If you're looking to catch NBCSN without a traditional cable package, you've got plenty of popular options. You can tap into a free trial on DirecTV Stream, or Fubo, or go with a Sling Orange + Blue subscription.

Fubo stands out as one of the top sports streaming services available today. Their Pro plan, priced at $84.99 per month, offers a robust lineup of 180 channels.

Subscribers get access to NBC Sports, NBC News Now, and NBC Universo, along with regional NBC Sports networks depending on where you live. The platform’s cloud DVR ranges from 250 to 1,000 hours, and you can stream on up to 10 devices simultaneously, making it ideal for households with multiple viewers or fans who want to catch games on the go.

Unlike Fubo, which doesn't carry SportsNet New York, DirecTV gives you access to all regional channels—though you'll need the Ultimate package at $94.99 per month. This plan bundles an extensive lineup, including NBC, local NBC affiliates, NBCLX, NBCSN, Telemundo, and more.

Peacock Premium ($10.99/mo.) or Peacock Premium Plus ($16.99/mo.), NBC's official streaming platform, is another strong choice, particularly to access marquee Monday exclusive line-up of NBA games. After much anticipation, NBC Sports Regional Networks are now available as add-on subscriptions on Peacock. That means fans in eligible regions can stream live, in-market MLB, NBA, and NHL games without a traditional cable plan.

For those looking for a budget-friendly alternative, Sling TV also provides access to NBC Sports content at a lower price point.
