Rights to the Women's UEFA Champions League are split across DAZN and Paramount+. DAZN will show the vast majority of the fixtures, with Paramount+ owning exclusive rights to the final which takes place in May 2024.

This season, and this season only, DAZN are offering their coverage of the competition to users free of charge on their YouTube channel.

    Originally branded the UEFA Women’s Cup, the tournament became the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the 2009/10 season. While Barcelona are current title holders, Lyon are in strong form and are the most successful club in the league having one the Champions League title eight times.

    In total 70 will take part this year from 48 National Soccer Associations.

    Where is this year's Women's UEFA Champions League final being held?

    This year the Women's UEFA Champions League final will be held at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.

    What is the Women's UEFA Champions League format?

    The 6 highest ranked associations (France, Germany, Spain, England, Sweden, Czechia) are allowed to enter 3 teams each. The following 10 can enter two teams each, while associations below 16th rank can only enter one team.

    Entering teams are split into the League path, or Champions path depending on their association ranking.

    • League Path Teams - 16 Teams

    These are made up of 3rd placed teams from associations ranked 1st -6th, and runners up from 7th- 16th. The 16 split into groups of four, who battle it out in mini knockout tournaments. The winning teams of each group progress to round 2.

    • Champions Path Teams - 41 teams

    These are made up of the association champions ranked eighth and below and are divided into 11 groups of 4 or 3. These groups then take part in knockout mini tournaments.

    4 teams will automatically place in the group stage, skipping round 1 and 2. This includes the current title holder (Barcelona), and the 3 highest ranked association winners (France, Germany and Spain). Barcelona are through as title holders, so 4th association (England) takes the 4th spot, and Chelsea joins Barcelona, Lyon, Bayern.  

    If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen Man-United knocking around so far, runners-up of the top six associations progress straight to Round 2 of the league path. So, 6 teams are already there waiting.

    Round 1: Regardless of which path, it’s two stages of one-off knockout matches. The winners of each final will progress to round 2.

    Round 2: Determines which 12 teams will join Chelsea, Bayern, Lyon and Barcelona in the group stages through two-legged knockout ties.

    Group Stage: the last sixteen teams split into four groups of four that take part in a two leg knock out stage. Teams play at home and away to determine which 8 teams qualify for the quarter finals.

    Quarter Finals: The qualifying eight teams are paired off and compete in two legs to determine the final four.

    Semi-Finals: Our top four teams. Each team will be paired and play in two-legs, with the winner progressing to the finals.
