Betting Tips for Today: Aberdeen can continue their good form against Hibernian

Aberdeen come into Friday's SPL clash with Hibernian below their opponents in the table - albeit only on goal difference.

The Dons struggled in the opening few weeks of the campaign, winning just one of their first five outings but recently they've hit their stride.

A 2-1 win over Kilmarnock last time out was the third win in four league games and there was a 1-0 win against Rangers in the Scottish League Cup within that spell too.

With that run of results behind them, Aberdeen look worthy 59/50 (2.18) favourites for this game. 888Sport offer Hibs at 9/4 (3.25) to emerge with three points and the draw is also a 9/4 (3.25) chance.

The two played out a goalless draw in the League Cup back in September with Friday's home side coming out on top on penalties.

They're in much better form now though and so the price of 59/50 (2.18) about another victory for Derek McInnes' men in 90 minutes looks well worthy of consideration.

Hibernian have struggled at this venue in the SPL in recent years and their last league win at Pittodrie was in May 2012. Since then they've drawn twice and lost three times, failing to find the back of the net on three of those visits and there’s plenty to like about backing them to fall short once again.

A goal tally that reads 15 strikes is hardly impressive from McInnes' men. It means they're just the sixth most prolific team in the division after 11 games. That number is also dwarfed by the Old Firm sides with Celtic and Rangers boasting 27 and 25 goals respectively.

However, considering that 10 of those 15 Aberdeen goals have come in their previous four matches, they appear to have solved their issues in the final third and that bodes well for backers of a home win on Friday night.

Aiming to win a fourth consecutive home league game, Aberdeen are worth backing at 59/50 (2.18) to continue their recent revival with a win over a team that have struggled on this ground in recent seasons.
