City's latest win marks the end of a fantastic year for Pep Guardiola's team. They had already won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and UEFA Super Cup before claiming the Club World Cup trophy - thus becoming the first English team to claim all five trophies in a single calendar year.
DID YOU KNOW?
It wasn't just City who made history on the day, however, as striker Alvarez opened the scoring with a chested goal just 40 seconds into the match - the fastest goal in Club World Cup final history. He did so in style, too, putting the ball in with his chest in a goal that resembled Lionel Messi's effort in the 2009 final.

WHAT NEXT FOR CITY?
City, who are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, return to England as world champions with a game against Everton in the Premier League scheduled for December 27. They will then round off 2023 with a home clash with struggling Sheffield United.
