Few sports capture the exhilaration of nations like Formula One. From blistering battles down the straight to canny moves in the corners, the biggest motorsport carnival in the world is back again for another thrilling 2025 season.
Team McLaren may be jetting to the States with the Constructors title safely secured for a second successive season, but there’s still all to play for in the Drivers’ Championship. George Russell consolidated 4th spot in the standings after clinching his second win of the season in Singapore. The Mercedes man may have denied Max Verstappen a third straight victory, but the Dutchman did maintain his solid run of form, which has seen him finish first or second in four straight races.
The 4-time F1 champ is now just 41pts behind Lando Norris in second and 63pts behind Championship pacesetter, Oscar Piastri. The McLaren pair may still be well in control of the title race, but recent events have amplified the competitive edge that exists in the camp. The latest incident saw Norris slide into Piastri on turn 3 of the opening lap at Marina Bay, en route to a 3rd place finish in Singapore, with his Aussie teammate off the podium in 4th.
