And the presentation and general adulation from the home fans Thursday comes after Inter Miami held a 'Noche d'Or' friendly against MLS side New York City FC to recognize the achievement, while also posting on social media about the win.

La Albiceleste suffered a disappointing defeat immediately after the presentation, with Darwin Nunez on target in Uruguay's World Cup qualifying win. Still, with Brazil losing to Colombia and thus failing to close the gap, Argentina won't be too concerned with the loss, with Lionel Scaloni's side still top of the CONMEBOL group standings, two points clear of Uruguay. Next up for Messi and Co. is the huge meeting with historic rivals Brazil on November 21.
