U.S. international Tyler Adams and Bournemouth defeated Southampton 3-1 on Saturday, thanks to goals from Dango Ouattara, Ryan Christie, and Marcus Tavernier.
Adams, meanwhile, ran the midfield show with a 91 percent passing completion percentage and 69 total touches of the ball over 90 minutes of action. He also created two attacking chances in the match, as the Cherries continued their miraculous climb up the Premier League standings.
With three points on Saturday, they leapfrog Chelsea due to criteria points into fifth place in the standings, trailing fourth-place Manchester City by one point in the hunt for European soccer in 2025-26.

Manager Andoni Iraola has praised the squad of late, including Adams, who has broken out at the flip of the calendar year after suffering a series of injuries through the first few months of the season.
The 26-year-old has started seven-straight matches for them now, and he has accumulated three assists during that span. Pulling strings in the center of the park, he appears to be back to his best.
The Cherries have scored 12 total goals in their last four Premier League matches combined; including a 5-0 pummeling over Nottingham Forest and a 4-1 thumping of Newcastle in addition to Saturday's result and their loss to Liverpool.
The Cherries are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 22 when they take on fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton in domestic action.
