WHAT HAPPENED?
The Medford-born star only joined the German club a year ago but is already about to leave on a temporary basis to Vitesse. Aaronson remains contracted to Frankfurt until 2027 but has joined the Dutch outfit on a six-month loan deal which does not include an option to buy him in the summer.

Since his move 12 months ago, Aaronson has struggled for game time at Frankfurt. The attacking midfielder has made just seven Bundesliga appearances all campaign, assisting once. Of his 14 total matches played across all competitions, Aaronson has started just three - and was hooked at half-time in two of them.
DID YOU KNOW?
The move to Vitesse should allow the USMNT starlet to get more minutes on the field. It also means he joins an ever-growing cohort of U.S. players in Netherlands . All three currently ply their trade for the runaway Eredivisie leaders, with Sergino Dest, Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi playing starring roles in PSV's scintillating season. Richard Ledezma is also set to return from his loan at New York City FC this month.

The USMNT star will hope that he can get more playing time under his belt between now and the end of the season. In joining Vitesse, Aaronson leaves behind brother Brenden in Germany, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga strugglers Union Berlin from Leeds. He is yet to score or assist in a competitive match this term.
