WHAT HAPPENED?
TUDN reports that the USMNT is "in negotiations" with Patrick Vieira for their head coach position. The ex-Arsenal superstar and former World Champion left his post as Strasbourg boss Thursday, meaning he is now a free agent and available to negotiate with any party.

The report revealed that LAFC's Steve Cherundolo and Columbus Crew's Wilfried Nancy are also on the ballot for the USMNT. The two respective MLS managers are deemed as "main candidates" for the role per the report.

WHAT NEXT FOR THE USMNT?
The U.S. will look to appoint a manager before September arrives, with two international friendlies on the cards. A match against New Zealand, and a contest against Jesse March's Canada await them.
