Revealed: When Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen are expected to return from injury for Man Utd

Eriksen received treatment on a couple of occasions before making way for Mason Mount at half-time of Saturday's win. His compatriot, Hojlund, laboured through the latter stages of the game before being replaced by Anthony Martial. On Monday, United confirmed that both had been withdrawn from the Denmark squad to face Slovenia and Northern Ireland and provided details of the injuries.

United announced that Eriksen had suffered a knee injury that will keep the midfielder on the sidelines for a month. Hojlund was diagnosed with a muscle strain but the club are optimistic that the 20-year-old will be available again by the end of the month.

United's stuttering season has been plagued by injuries. Erik ten Hag's had to make do without Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, Jonny Evans and Luke Shaw ahead of Saturday's match while dealing with the disruption of losing the Danish duo as the Red Devils struggled to close the game out against newly-promoted Luton.

Ten Hag will hope to have Hojlund back for United trip to Everton on Sunday November 26. Failing that, he'll be praying the former-Atalanta man is in the squad for the crucial Champions League trip to Galatasaray three days later.
