Revealed: Newly-elected prime minister Keir Starmer plans Arsenal-themed gift for Joe Biden on trip to meet US president

Starmer is a huge Arsenal fan, so it should come as no surprise that he's planned a Gunners-themed gift upon his first meeting with US president Biden. According to the Financial Times, Biden will receive an Arsenal shirt with the number 46 on the back, in reference to his status as the 46th president of the United States.

Starmer is in Washington DC, where Biden is hosting the NATO conference. But the newly-elected prime minister has made plans to stay up to date with England's progress at Euro 2024. He wants his officials to update him on the score in England's semi-final against the Netherlands during the meeting of NATO leaders.

Not only is Starmer a huge football supporter, he also plays. Indeed, the 61-year-old doesn’t intend to let his new role as UK leader stop him from enjoying his five-a-side.

The Labour leader hopes his visit to the United States is followed by a trip to Germany; he plans to attend the Euro 2024 final should England make it, according to the Mirror.
